New: ground vehicles on the Kai Tak apron

Buses, catering trucks, baggage trains, freight trucks and a fire station now work around the parked aircraft.

The apron is no longer empty. Vehicles now serve the six parked aircraft, and a fire station and cargo shed stand beside the runway.

What is new

  • Buses pull up to the front door and wait, then drive back to the depot.
  • Catering trucks drive to the stand and lift their box up to the door.
  • Baggage tractors tow three loaded carts under the wing.
  • Container and box freight trucks loop around the cargo shed, and a lorry shuttles along the service road.
  • The fire station holds crash tenders and a rescue vehicle. One tender drives out to a standby point and back.
  • At night the vehicles show headlights, tail lamps and beacons.

What did not change

  • The vehicles run on the sim clock, so rewind and fast-forward still work.
  • The autopilot still lands in every weather preset, and flying with no input still ends in a crash.

停機坪而家唔再空蕩蕩。地勤車輛會服務六架停泊嘅飛機，跑道旁邊亦有消防局同貨倉。

有咩新嘢

  • 巴士會駛到前門等候，然後返車廠。
  • 餐飲車駛到停機位，將車箱升起到機門。
  • 行李拖車喺機翼下面拖住三架載滿行李嘅車。
  • 貨櫃車同箱式貨車喺貨倉周圍行駛，另有一部貨車喺服務道路來回。
  • 消防局有消防車同救援車，其中一部會駛去候命位置再返嚟。
  • 夜晚車輛會亮起車頭燈、尾燈同閃燈。

冇改嘅嘢

  • 車輛跟模擬時鐘行動，所以倒帶同快進仍然有效。
  • 自動駕駛仍然可以喺所有天氣設定下降落，完全唔操作仍然會墜毀。

The 747-400 upper-deck hump in Fly Kai Tak was too tall and narrow. It is now lower and wider with a long shallow slope into the roof, like the real 747.

New: Plane Spotter on Runway 31

Fly Kai Tak Plane Spotter now has a Runway 31 mode: arrivals over Lei Yue Mun, departures toward Kowloon City, and a Lei Yue Mun spectator view.
