Boats along the seawall, not in the inlet
Harbour craft come right up to the runway seawall again, but keep out of the inlet under the south apron taxiways.
Boats in the harbour come right up to the seawall around Kai Tak's peninsula again, passing alongside the edges of Runway 13/31 as they did in the 1990s. The one place they never go is the water inlet under the taxiways to the south apron.
What changed
- Junks and yachts moor along the shore in Kowloon Bay, and tugs, launches and police boats roam there, close to the seawall
- The junk moored off the runway is back, and so is the Boat in the harbour view from it
- No boat is moored in, or routed through, the inlet between the runway-side taxiway and the south apron
