Concorde's engine intakes now sit under the wing
The intakes no longer stick out ahead of the wing. They sit under the leading edge, as on the real aircraft.
Concorde's engine intakes used to stick out ahead of the wing, like two barrels bolted to the front. They now sit underneath the leading edge, the way they do on the real aircraft, with nothing poking out in front of it.
What changed
Each side of Concorde has one nacelle holding two engines. The front of that nacelle used to be cut square, so the outer corner stuck out well ahead of the curved wing edge. The front face now follows the leading edge of the wing and stops just behind it. The two intake openings are dark when you look at them from the front, with the splitter between them.
What did not change
- Only the look of Concorde changed. Its size, weight and handling are the same.
- Flying with no input still ends in a crash, and the autopilot still lands Concorde in every weather preset.
