Real Housing Authority estates

The 1998 public housing estates now come from the Housing Authority's list, each built from its real block types.

The public housing estates now come from the Housing Authority's own estate list, not from a guess at which blocks look alike.

Real estates, real block types

The list gives each estate's location, number of blocks, year of intake and block types. The sim keeps the 145 estates that were in service by 1998, and 101 of them fall inside the map. For each one, the nearest footprints become its blocks, built as the types on the list: Harmony and Cruciform (cross plan), Trident (Y plan), Twin Tower (one tower taller), H blocks, and Old Slab, Slab and Small Household blocks.

Floors follow the block type, from about 13 to 21 for Old Slab and Small Household blocks up to 33 to 35 for Trident and 32 to 40 for Harmony. Heights are still kept under the approach clearance. Estates that opened after 1998 are left out.

One estate, one look

Each estate has its own pastel scheme, with a few blocks in a second shade, so neighbouring estates read as different places.

Estate list: Housing Authority via DATA.GOV.HK, hosted by Esri China (Hong Kong) Ltd. Rebuild it with python3 tools/estates.py.

公共屋邨而家用房屋署自己嘅屋邨清單來建，唔再靠估邊啲大廈望落差唔多。

真實屋邨，真實大廈類型

清單列出每個屋邨嘅位置、座數、入伙年份同大廈類型。模擬器保留 1998 年已入伙嘅 145 個屋邨，其中 101 個喺地圖範圍內。每個屋邨會用最近嘅建築物輪廓做佢嘅大廈，按清單上嘅類型來起：和諧式同十字型（十字形平面）、三叉型（Y 形平面）、雙塔式（一高一矮）、H 型，同舊長條型、長條型、小型家庭大廈。

層數跟大廈類型走：舊長條型同小型家庭大廈約 13 至 21 層，三叉型 33 至 35 層，和諧式 32 至 40 層。高度仍然受進場航道淨空限制。1998 年之後先入伙嘅屋邨就唔會出現。

一個屋邨，一個樣

每個屋邨有自己嘅粉彩色，有幾幢用第二種色調，所以相鄰嘅屋邨一眼就睇得出唔同。

屋邨清單：房屋署經 DATA.GOV.HK 提供，由 Esri China (Hong Kong) Ltd. 託管。用 python3 tools/estates.py 可以重新建立。

Maintenance area moved to the chart position

The Kai Tak maintenance area is repositioned to match the 1996 parking chart and airport plan: hangars, workshop tower, compound and offices turned to the chart angle.
