Rooftop Cross-Bar Lights on the Approach
Bright lamp masts on Kowloon rooftops now mark the approach to both runways.
Kai Tak's old approach was marked by bright cross-bar lamps on Kowloon rooftops, mounted on tall masts so pilots could follow them in over the streets. They are now in the sim.
What you see
Three masts stand on tall buildings under the approach. Each is a column of bright white lamps with three smaller ones on top. They glow at night and make a line you can fly along toward the turn.
Both runways
Runway 13 and Runway 31 each have their own three masts, placed on the tallest buildings near the approach path. Switch runways and the right set shows.
Try this
Press Night, start the IGS 13 approach and look ahead over the rooftops. The autopilot lands as before in every weather preset.
啟德舊日嘅進場，靠九龍樓頂高桿上面嘅光亮橫桿燈帶路，等機師沿住街道飛入嚟。而家呢啲燈喺模擬器度見到喇。
你會見到咩
進場航道下面嘅高樓上面企咗三支燈桿。每支都係一柱光亮嘅白燈，頂上仲有三粒細啲嘅燈。夜晚會發光，連成一條線，帶你飛向轉彎位。
兩條跑道都有
13 跑道同 31 跑道各有自己嘅三支燈桿，放喺進場航道附近最高嘅大廈上面。轉跑道，就會顯示啱嘅一組。
試吓
㩒 Night，開始 IGS 13 進場，然後望前面嘅樓頂。自動駕駛喺每個天氣預設落都照樣降落。
